Economics is a branch of Social Science. Thus it is taught in both the faculties of Arts and Commerce at the under graduate level. The department of Economics and Business Economics are the founder departments (1971) in this Institution . The Main Objectives of the Departments are:- • To study the basic and modern Principales and theories of Economics and Business Economis. • To develop Inter-disciplinary approach amongst the student. • To develop awareness amongst the student about socio-economic problems. • To equip the students to solve their day to day problems with the help of the subject knowledge. • To have the Practical Knowledge of the subject to make the student more competent in their daily life.
