This college has emerged as an esteemed and renowned educational institution in North Maharashtra University Area. The Science faculty was established in the year June 1981. At that time F.Y.B.Sc. was started and naturally S.Y.B.Sc. in the successive year 1982. The department of Physics is one of the most important departments in our college. Students offered physics at General level from the beginning of the science faculty. Physics was started as the Principal subject since 1988-89. K. B. C. North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon has recognized Physics Research Laboratory since 2011. At present, Prin. Dr. Rajendra Ramdas Ahire is the Head of Department of Physics who has 22 years of research experience and has worked on various university bodies such as senate members, member of board of studies etc. He has an excellent record of research publications at national and international levels in reputed peer reviewed journals and he is also a reviewer in many international journals. Under his guidance seven student have been awarded Ph.D. degree. Dr. Sudam D. Chavhan is working as assistant professor, who worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands; Karlstad University, Sweden, CIDETECH Research institute Donostia-San Sebastian, Spain; Chonbuk National University, South Korea; National Taiwan University, and National Tsing-Hua University, Taiwan. He has excellent expertise in third generation solar cells and organic light-emitting diode. He is reviewer of well-reputed international journals. Currently, under his guidance one CSIR sponsored juniorresearch fellow , one UCG-CSIR sponsored junior research fellow and two teacher fellows are doing their Ph.D. research work. Dr. Anup J. More is working as assistant professor and recognized research guide. Under his guidance one student is registered for Ph.D. Asst. Prof. Kishor M. More is doing his Ph.D. under the guidance of Dr. Anup J. More. The founder members of department Prof. B. K. Bagul, Prof. P. D. Pawar and Prof. Dr. S. S. Sonawane played vital role to develop the department. Their contribution is immeasurable for the progress of the students. The Principal of our college always encourages the staff for research activities. The main objectives of the Department are- 1. To enable the students to understand the classroom lectures, read test books, do reference readings. 2. To enable the students to participate in discussion, write assignments and face examination. 3. To inculcate some basic values like life skills, scientific attitude and awareness regarding life and natureamongst the students. 4. To acquaint the student with major forms of knowledge and the techniques of subject. 5. To enable the students to prepare mentally and morally to face the Info-tech Science world. 6.
